Become responsible for the full project cycle from origination to final investment decision
Nature Energy is currently looking for a Business Development Manager specializing in biogas to join our regional team based in Poznan. The Business Development Manager will have significant responsibility for accelerating the company’s growth in Poland. In cooperation with the organization, you will be responsible for end-to-end project development of large-scale biogas plants.

Some of your tasks and responsibilities will include:
Project identification:
- Originate, examine, and prioritize biogas project opportunities
- Evaluate the political, environmental, and agricultural interest in biogas projects in specific geographical areas of Poland
- Examine and identify ideal locations for new projects and possible new partners
- Communicate biogas industry insights and recommend projects for full development to senior management
Project development:
- Identify, establish, and maintain professional and long-term relations with vital stakeholders such as partners, politicians, suppliers, trade associations, and other local key stakeholders
- Put together and lead project teams around each project
- Calculate risk, biomass, and key figures together with colleagues and other specialists within Nature Energy
- Have Key Account responsibility for major cooperation partners such as industrial partners
- Handle challenges through the whole project development process in cooperation with your project team consisting of local and global experts
- Take responsibility for preparing the final investment decision
As a Business Development Manager, you will become a part of the Business Development Team which is a department characterized by highly driven and result-orientated colleagues that are motivated by a high degree of complexity to make the first-class biogas facilities.
You will be working with our local team from the office in Poznan, where you will report to the Nature Energy BD Country Manager for Poland. You will be working together with your Nature Energy colleagues/teams based in Denmark, and other European offices.
Wymagania
Project Developer with great interpersonal and communication skills
We are looking for a self-driven person with solid experience in project development, preferably within infrastructure, agriculture, and/or the renewable energy field in Poland. The candidate will have a master’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in business development from the energy sector, with at least 3 in the biogas industry. The ideal candidate has experience in developing projects in new markets, great project management skills, and experience with negotiating and stakeholder management.
As a person, you will communicate well with colleagues and stakeholders across functions and areas of expertise. It will be beneficial if you have an eye for sensing the political environment and can manage the unpredictability of various agendas and interests as well as a good understanding of the renewable energy markets and trends.
We are ideally looking for a person who is highly driven and outgoing with an eye for timelines and details. You must be able to drive a new project from the early beginning and execute all practical issues. You will also need a great understanding of value chain, business, and financial models, and enjoy working with complex issues.
As we are an international organization, you will need to be fluent in both written and verbal Polish and English.
