The Katalyst Education team consists of individuals with various interests, temperaments, and unique life experiences, who are all connected by one thing - a passion for education. They work with a sense of mission while maintaining professionalism and a sense of humor. The team includes graphic designers, programmers, teachers, and even a surgeon and geologist, who are responsible for creating and implementing high-quality, open, digital education resources. This fantastic group is now looking for a leader who can support them in their daily work and take the foundation on new adventures.

Obowiązki

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement strategies to achieve the organization's goals and objectives.
2. Cooperating with the fundraising team, applying for grants and ensuring their realization and reporting.
3. Being the Foundation’s representative in conferences, meetings and official events. Leading official events organized by the Foundation and supporting the team in organizing them.
4. Leading and managing an organization through a few key team members (each of them having their own team) to ensure the smooth functioning and communication among all projects and activities.
5. Providing regular feedback to the team about their work and performance, guide them through potential conflicts and challenges, help them both to overcome bottlenecks and celebrate successes. You need to be a true leader with the ability to inspire and listen.
6. Leading regular team meetings with special attention to team-building activities, communication and processes’ improvements.
7. Recruiting and onboarding new team members as well as ensuring their development within the team.
8. Together with the marketing & PR team, developing and maintaining relationships with external partners, including schools, educational institutions, local governments, donors and other NGOs. You will also represent the foundation in conferences, meetings and workshops.
9. Closely cooperating with main stakeholders - especially with the founder and CEO of the foundation on strategy, problem solving and effective implementation of the projects.
10. Creating, updating and implementing the foundation’s policies and procedures.
11. With cooperation of a legal counselor, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
12. Create results that position Pi-stacja to be rolled out to other countries. At the moment, that includes supporting (though not directly managing) the Pi-stacja Ukraine project.
13. Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the Polish educational landscape and - with cooperation of R&D manager - making recommendations for strategic pivots accordingly.
14. Managing administrative tasks such as budgeting, and record-keeping. You will also be heavily involved in business plan writing and executing it.

Wymagania

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or Social Sciences).
2. A minimum of five years of experience in leading teams, preferably in the nonprofit sector or within foundations.
3. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts to diverse audiences.
5. Experience in strategic planning, including setting goals, developing action plans, and monitoring progress.
6. Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
7. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community members.
8. Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and best practices in the non-profit sector, as well as a commitment to ethical standards and transparency.
9. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, diverse, and inclusive environment.
10. Cultural competency and sensitivity, with a commitment to promoting equity and inclusion within the organization and its initiatives.

What does the recruitment process look like?
1. We arrange three (30-minute) online conversations with team members as well as with our team leader and managing director
2. Next step is an assessment day (apr. 3 hours), during which you will be asked to do some work-related tasks
3. Last but not least - a meeting with our main benefactor
