Director of Fundacja Alberta Schweitzera

As the Director of Fundacja Alberta Schweitzera you’ll be responsible for turning our strategy into reality. You will manage our team in Poland and will work closely with the Co-Directors of Internationalization at our mother organization. Come take the lead in this important work that helps to abolish factory farming!

• You will provide oversight for all of our initiatives, projects, campaigns and communications in Poland, with focus on corporate outreach and campaigning to raise farmed animal welfare standards and reduce the use of animal products
• You will take responsibility for achieving quarterly goals, giving input for, and implementing the strategic plan of the foundation
• You will provide leadership and support to our team and ensure their most impactful performance
• You will optimize the structure and expand the team together with our Co-Directors of Internationalization
• You will carry out corporate outreach and campaigning activities such as negotiating with food companies and running campaigns
• You will represent the foundation externally – within the animal advocacy movement, in corporate and campaigning contexts and serve as a media spokesperson as necessary
• You will maintain a positive work environment and a good cooperation with Albert Schweitzer Foundation in Germany
• You will work with our accountant and lawyer to ensure all administrative and legal needs are met and daily business runs smoothly

• You have professional leadership experience of at least three years – ideally you have already founded or managed an organization or company yourself or have had a senior leadership position
• Several years’ experience in corporate affairs, CSR, advocacy, campaigning or a closely related area is an asset
• You have the necessary initiative, perseverance and hands-on mentality to immerse yourself quickly into our campaigning and corporate outreach work
• You have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
• You are confident when dealing with media representatives and negotiating with decision-makers – even in stressful situations
• You are highly motivated, reliable and work independently
• You have good knowledge of farmed animal welfare issues
• Your written and oral Polish language skills are at C2 level
• Your written and oral English skills are at least at C1 level
• You identify with our mission statement as well as our vision and strategy
