VELUX Poland is strengthening its public affairs efforts and is looking for a Public Affairs Manager to advocate for the VELUX agenda on sustainable buildings.

We are looking for a new colleague, who can be the driving force in strengthening our public affairs efforts in Poland and supporting corporate agenda-setting in media. Obowiązki
As our new Public Affairs Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Developing and implementing a national public affairs strategy focusing on most business critical issues
- Stakeholder management, including building and maintaining good relations with relevant stakeholders in Poland, and attending relevant meetings and conferences representing VELUX's view on selected topics
- Monitoring national policy processes and stakeholders regarding selected dossiers and policy areas
- Preparing position papers, presentations, and alike explaining the VELUX position
- Cooperating with media colleagues to move the agenda on healthy and energy-efficient buildings via media including social media
- Advising management on positioning
- Cooperating in projects related to building brand perception and company reputation among stakeholder groups
You will be located at our main office in Warsaw, but you will be also part of the global organization and you can expect to travel approx. 70 days per year. Therefore, it is important that you enjoy traveling and that you have the opportunity to be flexible.
Wymagania
As a person, you are outgoing with a dynamic personality and you possess the ability to work individually as well as in teams. You have a great analytical mindset and effective communication as well as interpersonal skills. You are accustomed to using communication channels including social media and you already have a good network. What else you will need:
- Relevant master’s degree from a university or business school, preferably in an area related to public policy, economics, communication, or international relations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with public affairs (i.e. from the national parliament, political party, ministry, organizations, companies, or public affairs agency), and thereby having an extended public affairs knowledge and relevant political network.
- Preferably, experience in working on building policy or energy policy and legislation.
- Good people and communications skills, including experience working with media and social media.
- Sound business understanding and experience in providing strategic advice.
- It is imperative, that you are fluent in Polish and English both orally and in writing.
