Obowiązki

  • We are looking for a Senior Project Development and Origination Manager who will support our global project development business, called Wind Farm Solutions (WFS). This position entails a possible team lead responsibility depending on the further growth and the candidates’ performance.
  • WFS is focused on generation of strategic project development partnerships with stakeholders such as utilities, developers, IPPs, funds, etc. and is part of the Global Sales & Marketing Organization reporting directly to the CEO of the Onshore Business Unit.
  • The primary target of WFS is to ensure the exclusive wind turbine delivery by SGRE via project development and establishment of strategic partnerships.  
  • The Senior Project Development and Origination Manager will work with our sales regions around the world and reports directly to the Global Head of Wind Farm Solutions.

As part of the role, you will also:

  • Provide support in structuring strategic partnerships with developers and investors on global level to maximize project value and ensure SGRE exclusivity
  • Screen opportunities and initial assessment of identified opportunities
  • Participate in the definition of commercial agreements to participate in third party opportunities (co-investment, bid bonds, acquisition) presented by the different regions
  • Support project due diligence and assist/support with negotiation of joint development agreements, shareholder agreements, share purchase agreements and similar investment agreements (e.g. Development Service Agreements)
  • Supervise and coordinate project-related contract negotiations such as PPAs, BOP contracts, land leases and grid interconnection agreements as well as financing of the projects (in collaboration with internal/ external stakeholders supporting the process)
  • Pitching of project development opportunities and prepare, together with the WFS Transactions department, investment decision documentation
  • Prepare and manage internal approval process for transaction on global level with the support of the regional sales manager and Transactions Department
  • Monitoring existing global project pipeline and budget/ spents (with support of the Financial Analyst)
  • Follow up the progress of co-development or co-investments
  • Ensure routine focus on project quality, progression, budgeting, internal tracking, for all development projects throughout their lifetime and selling process
  • Receive, filter, register and tune all the requests for financial and technical assistance sent by the Sales & Marketing department in the regions and present them in the Filtering Committee as well as managing committee agenda.
  • Gather project information and support the regions in the preparation of presentations of opportunities to Pitching Committee
  • Promote and foster a strong entrepreneurial and performance culture
  • Location for the role can be discussed (Eastern Europe potentially possible, too)

Wymagania

  • You have min. a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Engineering or similar fields
  • 3-5 years of experience in business and project development ideally within wind industry but at least within the renewable industry is a must
  • Proven knowledge of renewables markets and experience in infrastructure development including deal structuring and strategic partnership negotiations
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities (internal & external)
  • Full ability to design business models/opportunities
  • Customer & solution oriented
  • Strong negotiation & communication skills
  • You are fluent in English and ideally in German or any other market relevant language (e.g. Eastern Europe)
  • Ability and willingness to travel on moderate level
