How you will make a difference in Better Energy

As a Solar Energy Analyst, your primary responsibilities at Better Energy will include undertaking various data analyses, , on a range of topics such as PV park performance and uncertainty-based design optimization support for our Engineering team.


You will play a key role in enhancing our reporting workflows throughout the organization and improving our ability to utilize data from different departments, ensuring that colleagues have access to the necessary data processed into actionable insights for timely decision-making. Additionally, you will contribute to the ongoing improvement of our data modelling processes and assist in developing best practice guidelines and automating reporting and analysis tasks.

Obowiązki

  • Support the Director of Analysis in developing the approaches and expertise of the Analysis team in data analytics, pipelining, orchestration, and visualization.
  • Assist other departments with analysis and automation projects.
  • Document processes and create best practice guides.
  • Conduct research and stay updated on the latest technologies and data modeling techniques.
  • Build data analytics and visualizations using Python and related toolsets, such as Apache Spark.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the processes underlying our PV park performance estimation and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with the Operations & Maintenance and Asset Management departments to develop approaches for identifying underperformance, predicting future performance, and reducing uncertainty in future yield modeling using historical data.

Wymagania

We find it important that you possess the following competencies:

  • Experience in data analysis
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and software such as Python to manipulate, analyze, and visualize large data sets.
  • English working proficiency level (both written and spoken).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to derive insights from complex data sets.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for accuracy in data analysis.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts and analysis findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of solar energy systems, photovoltaic technologies, and energy industry regulations is a plus.
