Spatial Planning Specialist

As an important part of the Development team at Better Energy, you will be responsible for the coordination and supervision of spatial planning procedures for solar and wind projects plus to search and identify proper land to develop solar and wind projects taking into consideration spatial planning conditions.

You will work closely with the rest of the Development department, as well as our Partners. This position will be based in our Warsaw office at the Warsaw Spire building.

• To coordinate and supervise spatial planning procedures for solar and wind projects,
• To search and identify proper land to develop solar and wind projects taking into consideration spatial planning conditions,
• Contacting and supporting local authorities regarding procedures related to spatial planning,
• Examination and ensuring consistency of planning documents with investment assumptions and documents (e.g. building permits),
• Analysis of special planning documents, zoning decisions, master plans,
• Close collaboration with Developers, supporting the team who is working in the field,
• Checking projects in Screening and Opportunity phases from special planning perspective,
• To identify and propose land which fulfill spatial planning requirements to develop solar or wind projects to Developers,
• To obtain planning documents from local authorities (e.g. excerpts from the land registry, excerpts from Master Plan and Studium),
• Finding creative design solutions to problems,
• Site visits during the development stage.
  

• University degree preferred in spatial planning, geography, surveying, or related fields,
• At least 5 years of professional experience in spatial planning,
• Knowledge of legislation related to spatial planning procedures,
• Ability to work with maps, especially in GIS and CAD,
• Ability to identify proper areas for solar and wind projects taking into consideration planning conditions,
• Data and desk top research (maps and area restrictions, and further develop the projects),
• You will be based in Warsaw office (hybrid model: 3 days in the office),
• Result-oriented, proactive approach, and sales-oriented profile with high sense of ethics,
• Self-confident person,
• Motivated by challenges and achieving results,
• Like to cooperate with the people, you are responsive and communicative,
• You like challenges and to overcome barriers, and you don't give up easily,
• Experience in development of solar and wind farms will be a plus,
• Polish speaker, English would be a huge plus,
• Driving license.
