Partner Grant Coordinator - Warsaw or Krakow, Poland (National Role)

The Grant Coordinator works closely with the Partnership team under the direction of Partnership Manager to support the development of the new grants with Polish Partners. She/He will work in close collaboration with Snr. Subaward Officers to ensure adherence to and compliance with MC policies and donor rules/regulations with respect to Finance Mercy Corps policies. Will contribute to the capacity building program for Polish Partners in terms of Project cycle, project and budget development. Will support Partnership team on grants and budgets, , contribute to internal and partner capacity development plans and deliver trainings. Together with Program Manager partnerships, will adapt and develop orientation and training sessions for our partners.

Essential Job Responsibilities
- In collaboration with Partnership team will take a lead in the preparation of the training materials on Project cycle and budget developments to the Partners.
- Will conduct the training to the partner on the project cycle with special focus on budget development.
- Engage in direct conversation with Partners to support them in the development of the grant documents – in particular the budgets component and assure alignment with Scope of Work.
- Will review the submitted budgets by the partners and get in communication to address the comments and suggestion.
- Will be in the close collaboration with different departments to ensure that all requirements form respective units like HR, PAQ and Communication and others are addressed in the Partners budget.
- Will be in close communication with compliance and finance team to support partners in develop budgets, which are in line with MC Subaward and compliance policies.
- In coordination with Senior Partnership Officer, inform and develop of transparent calls for applications (CfA).

Accountability
Reports Directly To: Partnership Program Manager
Works Directly With: Program Team in Poland and, Sub-Grants Manager and Sub-awards, finance and compliance teams and others.
Wymagania
Knowledge and Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant field or management experience of complex, multi-dimensional programming including administering subawards in an international environment.
- At least 2 years’ experience in grants management as well as a good understanding of USG (USAID, DOS, USDA, etc.) and European donor regulations is strongly preferred.
- A university degree in finance, accounting or a related business field is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience and skill with administrating solicitations for subawards, assessing potential subrecipients and the proven ability to oversee a team that is responsible for monitoring subrecipients.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills are the must
- Strong supervisory skills
- Experience from building meaningful, equitable partnerships with local actors is desired
- Experience in leading meetings and trainings is required
- Familiarity or direct experience with humanitarian programming will be an asset
- Required: excellent oral and written English skills required.
- Proficiency with MS Office software required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

The successful Grant Coordinator will combine exceptional communication, coordination and relationship building skills and will be an effective supervisor. The coordinator will have past experience in facilitating and evaluating capacity sharing programs. They will have proven experience with cross-cultural teams and participatory approaches.
